Renault is on the verge of lowering the prices of its 100% electric Mégane e-Tech. According to our colleagues from Clean Automobile, two price changes should take place on the heart of the range of the all-new electric sedan, in order to allow it to take advantage of the ecological bonus at full rate.
Indeed, on its most recent zero-emissions vehicle, Renault’s offer is plethoric in terms of options and trim levels. If the entry-level model starts at 35,200 euros, the maximum price is close to 50,000 euros. Between the two, several models oscillate around the fateful bar of 45,000 euros. Why is this amount important? Because it allows you to receive the ecological bonus at the full rate, that is to say 6,000 euros (until July 1). Above this limit, the bonus drops to 2,000 euros. Quite a difference on the final bill, then!

Thus, in order to increase sales of its best-endowed models, Renault would be ready to make some sacrifices. The Megane e-Tech Iconic EV60 Super Charge version should see its price drop by 910 euros on April 5. Therefore, it will be displayed at 44,990 euros. This little sleight of hand will allow customers to buy it for 38,990 euros. The other version concerned, the Techno EV60 Optimum Charge, was already eligible for the maximum bonus, but its new lower price of 400 euros will allow its future buyers to take advantage of an additional option from the long list available from the manufacturer.
As a result, there will only be one version of the electric Megane left in the upper bonus bracket, the one displayed at 47,400 euros. In order to offer these price reductions, Renault has made a slight modification in its catalog. Indeed, the manufacturer with the diamond will no longer offer its help with the installation of a Wallbox, nor the Switch Car offer at 1€ or the credit offered for one year on the Charge Pass Mobilize card. We have nothing without nothing…
