Auto giants are slowly starting to clear dates for the transition to an electric future. RENAULT CEO ANNOUNCED, “WE WILL BE 100 PERCENT ELECTRIC.”
According to Automotive News Europe; Renault CEO Luca de Meo announced at an event that the French car brand will be 100 percent electric in Europe by 2030.
Previously, Renault was expected to be 90 percent electrified, with the remaining 10 percent made up of other vehicle types.
According to the news, the Dacia brand belonging to the Renault Group will also be gradually electrified.
“We have a Plan B,” said Luca de Meo, adding that Dacia will be electrified “at the last possible moment”.
The European Union (EU) plans to ban fossil fuel vehicles by 2035.
Renault, which launched the electric Zoe many years ago, is expected to introduce at least four new fully electric vehicles by 2025, including the Renault 5.
