In the light commercial vehicle segment, the electrification trend is expanding rapidly and more and more automakers are launching EV-only vans. The latest example is ready for production for the E-Tech commercial vehicle range Trafic Van E-Tech ElectricAdded by Renault.

The model is based on the current fourth-generation Trafic, released in 2020. From the outside, it looks identical to its ICE-powered sibling, except for the E-Tech badge on the tailgate. Similarly, it is available in two different lengths of 5,080 mm or 5,480 mm in length and in two different heights of 1,967 mm or 2,498 mm. Depending on the configuration, the cargo volume ranges from 5.8 to 8.9 cubic meters, while a cabin floor version is also available for conversions.

Diesel powered Trafic

The electric powertrain consists of a single engine producing 121 hp (90 kW / 122 PS), slightly more than the entry-level diesel. The towing capacity is 750 kg and the maximum load is 1,100 kg. The Trafic Van E-Tech Electric shares the 52 kWh battery with the recently updated Master E-Tech, allowing for a WLTP range of 240 km. The battery can be charged with a 7kW AC, 22kW AC or optional 50 kW DC fast charger.
