Half of all municipalities in our province have the lowest compensation of 1,081 euros per month. In De Bilt, De Ronde Venen, Houten, Soest, Utrechtse Heuvelrug, Vijfheerenlanden and Woerden, councilors receive 325 euros more. Members of parliament in Nieuwegein, Stichtse Vecht, Veenendaal and Zeist receive more than 1,645 euros per month.
