Remembrance Day ceremonies being held across Chatham-Kent

Residents across Chatham-Kent have many communities to choose from to attend ceremonies on Saturday marking Remembrance Day.

Royal Canadian Br. 642 Chatham will be holding a ceremony at the cenotaph in downtown Chatham with a parade beginning at 10:30 am from the legion for a ceremony at 10:45 am

Wallaceburg Legion Br. 18 is holding a ceremony at the cenotaph, beginning at 10:55 am Those planning to attend are asked to be there between 10:30-10:45 am

The Blenheim Legion Br. 185 is hosting two events, starting with parade at 10:45 am followed by a ceremony at St. Mary’s Hall, 94 George St., beginning at 11 am Afterwards, wreaths will be laid at the cenotaph.

There is also ceremony and parade in the Village of Erieau at Veterans Memorial Garden beginning at 2 pm

Bothwell Legion Br. 252 has scheduled a ceremony with a parade leaving the legion at 162 George St. E. at 11 am and going to the cenotaph.

The Dresden Legion Br. 113 is holding a ceremony at the cenotaph on Queen Street with a parade departing the fire hall at 10:45 am

The Ridgetown Legion Br. 243 will have a ceremony at the cenotaph on Main Street East beginning at 11 am

Thamesville Legion Br. 367 is hosting an event at its legion at 62 Victoria St. beginning at 10:30 am leading to a service at the cenotaph.

Tilbury Legion Br. 206 is holding a ceremony at the cenotaph on Queen Street, beginning at 10:50 am

Merlin Legion Br. 465 is holding a ceremony at the Merlin Community Hall, 150 Aberdeen St., beginning at 10:50 am

Wheatley Legion Br. 324 will begin with a parade leaving the legion hall at 10:15 am followed by a ceremony at the cenotaph at 35 Talbot Rd. W.
