While we are waiting to see him come alive in the film Super Mario Bros The Movie, Donkey Kong will offer all of his music on vinyl format. Indeed, the companies Bigwax, Musique Pour La Danse and Just for Games announce that the music from the trilogy of Donkey Kong Country games on Super Nintendo will be offered in these collector formats, with of course dedicated packaging and colorized discs. Regarding the restoration of the music, we learn that Jammin Sam Miller reworked the pieces note by note from the original versions, in order to obtain the highest sound quality while remaining perfectly faithful to the basic tracks. Donkey Kong Country soundtracks, Donkey Kong Country 2 – Diddy’s Kong Quest and Donkey Kong Country 3 – Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble! will be available in colored 2LP vinyl format sometime in spring 2023.

This one is presented on a “banana yellow” colored vinyl and packaged in a cardboard sleeve illustrated in a minimalist way using sprites from the game.
