The military intervention launched by Russia on Ukraine on February 24 continues. Former First Lady of Ukraine, Katerina Yushchenko, who attended the Baku Forum held in Azerbaijan, made remarkable statements. Yushchenko made evaluations about Bayraktar TB2s used by Ukraine against Russia in the intervention that started on February 24. Speaking to Haber Global, Yushchenko said that he is grateful for the support Turkey provided to his country during the war and the mediation efforts of President Erdogan.

“First of all, Putin wants to stay in power. The people around him stole everything from the Russian people and they want to hold the power,” Yushchenko said. “They are afraid of successful democracies and good economies around them. They want to destroy the competition. Putin wants to be the new great Pedro and resurrect the empire. He ignores the history of the language of the Ukrainians. He wants to destroy what he cannot change.”
