Greek leader Sakellaropoulou will make a series of visits from tomorrow. It was noteworthy that this program took place a week after President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s speech to Greece saying, “If Greece goes forward, the cost will be heavy,” and “We can come suddenly one night.” Among the regions that Sakellaropoulou will visit are the 4 islands neighboring Turkey and the islets that Greece armed against the Lausanne Treaty.
HE WILL RECEIVE HONORABLE CITIZENS TITLE
According to the program shared by the Greek Dimokratiki newspaper, Sakellaropoulou will visit the Aegean islands of Halki, Rhodes and Kastelorizo on 11-13 September.
Sakellaropoulou’s first stop will be the island of Halki on Sunday, where he will receive the title of honorary fellow citizen. Sakellaropoulou, who will go to Rhodes on Monday, will go to Kastellorizo on Tuesday to attend events.
The Greek leader will visit Kızılhisarlı (Meis) and Çamada (Megistis) on Tuesday. Sakellaropoulou’s visit to these islands, located 1.8 kilometers away from Turkey and opposite Antalya’s Kaş district, drew attention in terms of its timing.
“WE HAVE ONE SENTENCE TO GREECE”
President Erdogan used the following statements in his speech at TEKNOFEST last week:
“We need to know well who is our friend and who is against us. Is this America sending weapons to Alexandroupoli and Greece right now? Is it sending planes? Is it trying to threaten us with S-300s from there? O Greek, look at history, Go back to history, if you go much further, the price will be heavy, heavy. We have one sentence for Greece, don’t forget Izmir.”
