Last Friday, the police arrested a 33-year-old woman from Rotterdam in the investigation into the explosions in Hoef and Haag. According to the police, she is probably also involved in the threat to other homes in Huizen, Nieuwegein and Hoef en Haag. Earlier, a 42-year-old man from The Hague was arrested; he’s still stuck. Police previously said they would not rule out more arrests.
The explosions in Hoef and Haag took place a few weeks apart in July. In the first explosion, the police made a link with the drug crime. After the explosions, the municipality and the police took safety measures. For example, a police post was established in the village and police officers drive around more often.
