War films are an extreme experience per se. Both for the people who suffer in front of the television. As well as the filmmakers, who somehow have to manage to stage fictionalized historical conflicts in such a way that the real suffering and horror of war does not degenerate into pure spectacle. Heart of Steel, in which a group of soldiers oppose the Nazis in their tank, succeeds to a large extent.

Filming David Ayers’ war film was not only mentally but also physically challenging. After all, this was about immeasurable human suffering with a real-historical background. But no one should have expected an additional burden in advance: the Body Scent by Shia LaBeouf.
