Relaxing it is the essential oil to have to quickly

It is a great muscle relaxant and a powerful pain reliever.

Muscle cramps are more common in summer. They are very painful and can, for example, appear for no reason at night and wake us up. Fortunately, there are several solutions to overcome them.

First, you need to adopt some rules of good conduct: stay hydrated throughout the day, eat fruits and vegetables with every meal (their vitamins and minerals – calcium, magnesium and potassium to name a few – are the best guarantees of a life without cramps), elevate your feet if cramps occur at night (usually venous in origin), warm up before a sports session or physical activity such as moving and stretch well afterwards, do not neglect hypoglycemia (blood sugar level too low): eat some dried fruits or anything sweet as soon as the need arises. When the cramp arrives, you can also gently stretch (but as far as possible) the contracted muscle. Often this is enough to make the cramp “release”, we can read in the book “Essential oils work” (ed. Leduc) by Danièle Festy and Anne Dufour.

You should know that there is an essential oil that is ultra-effective against cramps. It is a great muscle relaxant and a powerful analgesic that acts against cramps, contractures and sprains. It results from the natural hybridization of true lavender and aspic, used in fine perfumery for its aromatic, lavender and herbaceous notes.

This is Lavandin Essential Oil which is distinguished by its fresher, cleaner, raw, aromatic and camphorated character, and less floral than that of Lavender.Among the various essential oils commonly offered on the market, choose Lavandin Super if you want to get closer to true lavender essential oil. Its scent, although less subtle, is very similar, and it has more or less the same therapeutic properties as lavender, at a lower cost. From experience, we can say that a good Lavandin Super essential oil is better than a bad true lavender oil.“, advises Philippe Banel, aromatherapist and co-author of “Large guide to essential oils, hydrosols and vegetable oils” (DBS/Cosmetic Valley Editions).

He shares his recipe for a massage oil against muscle cramps: massage the painful area until the muscle group relaxes with a mixture containing 1 mL of lavender essential oil, 0.5 mL of ylang-ylang essential oil, 0.5 mL of tarragon essential oil (Artemisia dracunculus L.), 1 mL of pine essential oil (Pinus ponderosa C. Lawson): in 18 mL of a vegetable oil. Lavandin essential oil is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 8 years old, epileptic individuals, those subject to high blood pressure and the elderly.
