The family of a man who was murdered last week reports the prosecutor to the police for causing the death of another or gross misconduct, reports SVT Nyheter.

The man, who was in his 50s, was shot to death in his home in Tullinge south of Stockholm during the night of Friday.

By Thursday evening, his son’s name and picture had been published in the media. The son is wanted on suspicion of being involved in a shooting at a residence in Uppsala in January.

Prosecutor Moa Blomqvist approved the decision to publish the son’s name and picture.

– We made a risk assessment based on how the case looked at the time, she said on Monday.

Now the prosecutor is reported to the police by the murdered man’s family.

– We think it is worth looking into this case. If you have not previously understood that there is a great danger to the lives of relatives, then perhaps you do now. The prosecutors must review their procedures, says the person who submitted the family’s report to SVT.

The prosecutor does not want to comment on the report, she writes in an SMS to SVT.
