Reinfeldt will be busted in the Riksdag

It is more than eight years ago, in December 2014, that a bust was last unveiled. Then it was the person Reinfeldt defeated in the 2006 election, Göran Persson (S), who received his bronze bust. Persson was prime minister for ten years, from 1996 to 2006. Prime ministers who have been in office for less than eight years, but at least four, have to settle for being depicted in the form of a relief or medallion.

The Riksdag administration recently decided to commission the work on the bust of Reinfeldt and the artist has not yet been appointed. But it will probably take several years before the result can be seen, probably at the other busts of prime ministers in the stately stairwell in the old parliament building.
