Pharmacy products 35 percent more expensive in stores
In addition, a large survey, conducted by price hunting, now shows that there are large price differences on medicines and other pharmacy products depending on whether you buy them in the pharmacy’s physical stores or online.
More specifically, the comparison site has looked at 185 pharmacy products at four pharmacy chains and compared the prices of these products in their stores with the prices on their sites.

And the difference, as mentioned earlier, is great. On average, it is 35 percent more expensive to shop in store than online. Especially more expensive are drugs in the category “fever and pain”. There, the medicine is an average of 89 percent more expensive in stores.

For example, it turns out that one of the investigated pharmacies sells pain tablets, with the substance paracetamol, for ten kronor online. The same tablets cost SEK 49 in stores, which is thus 390 percent more expensive.
According to price hunting, in some cases you can also save hundreds of dollars on buying medicines online. The press release shows that it has been seen how one of the pharmacies sells a dietary supplement for SEK 669 online. In stores, the supplement costs SEK 230 more, ie SEK 899.
