The regional tourism organization is hosting the event to bring together businesses, organizations and leaders from across Southwestern Ontario to the Retro Suites from 11:30 am to 3:30 pm

The aim is to share insights and build connections to help strengthen the industry in the region.

It will feature a keynote presentation by Guess Where Trips founder Jess Off and operations manager Jessica Bax. They will discuss visitor behavior, communicating value to customers, expanding operations into the US, and business lessons they have learned.

“We’ve seen first-hand how tourism can be the driving force to build long-lasting connections,” Joanne Wolnik, Ontario’s Southwest’s executive director, said in a release. “By bringing together tourism leaders from across Southwestern Ontario, we hope to inspire collaboration that not only drives economic growth, but also strengthens the well-being of everyone living in the destination.

“This event is an opportunity to learn from each other and explore new ways to create a positive impact through the business of tourism,” she added.

Ontario’s Southwest is funded by the province’s Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Sport and governed by board of directors. It collaborates with tourism partners to help support the region as a year-round destination offering highly sought-after experiences for visitors and residents.

World Tourism Day is recognized by the United Nations World Tourism Organization. This year’s theme, Tourism and Peace, emphasizes the important role tourism has in creating space for people to understand, respect and empathize with others.
