The high-ranking official who was responsible for Västerbotten’s capital management of pension funds, to a value of over SEK 5 billion, was on half-time leave to start up a collaboration with Norrbotten.
Now he has been forced to leave his position in Västerbotten with a severance payment of almost half a million kroner. He currently retains his employment with Region Norrbotten – but is suspended from his post.
Terminated agreement
Both regions have terminated the contract with the company the official worked with.
The company has informed SVT Nyheter via its lawyer that they oppose the cancellation of the agreement but that they otherwise do not want to comment.
Police report
The Ecocrime Authority has not yet decided whether they will initiate a preliminary investigation after Region Västerbotten made a police report about infidelity against the principal and bribery.
