The Jaarbeurs had room for 140 refugees from Ukraine. They were registered there and then they would be transferred to another location as soon as possible. That flow has been faltering for a long time, because there are too few shelter places elsewhere. According to the safety region, the shelter in the Jaarbeurs is not suitable for a longer stay, partly due to a lack of privacy and insufficient care capacity.
