The ongoing reform of the civil service, which provides for the extinction of the two historical corps of diplomacy by 2023 and provides that senior civil servants will no longer be attached to a specific administration, has prompted diplomats to create an association aimed at to defend a “strong and influential diplomacy”, endangered, according to them, by this reform. Interview with the former ambassador to Tunisia and Italy, honorary member of the French association of professional diplomats, Yves Aubin de La Messuzière. He has just created the Marseille branch of the think tank: Iremmo Suds. He is the author of the book Diplomatic profession, an ambassador in turmoil, Plon editions.
