EU defense cooperation is about peacekeeping and stabilizing military operations in Europe’s immediate area. Now Denmark will hold a referendum on whether the country should participate fully in that cooperation.
– Denmark has not been at the table when these things have been discussed. Neither the policy itself, it has not had the opportunity to veto, and it has not financed or participated with troops in these EU operations.
Polls back in time, when it comes to re-evaluating the exceptions that Denmark has in its EU membership, have landed in a no. But now it looks like it could end in a yes.
