The government and the support party Sweden Democrats are proposing a tax cut for pensioners of a total of SEK 2 billion in the upcoming autumn budget. This is announced on Expressen’s debate page.
“This means that it will pay off better both to work and to have worked,” they write in Expressen.
All in all, with an indexation on the basic deduction, it would mean that a person with a pension of SEK 25,000 per month gets SEK 3,400 more in their wallet per year. The proposal will cost the treasury SEK 2 billion.
