The lawyer who was previously sentenced to five and a half years in prison for starting fires has his sentence reduced by the Court of Appeal, reports Ystads Allehanda.

The lawyer was charged with starting fires at three different places in Ystad, but the Court of Appeal acquitted him in one of the cases and at the same time reduced the sentence to five years and two months in prison.

The man has consistently denied, but is convicted of setting two fires in Ystad on May 31 last year and in Växjö on May 27. He is also sentenced for stealing a soft drink in Svedala. When sentencing, the Court of Appeal takes into account the fact that he will be excluded from the Bar Association and that he has spent a long time in custody.
