Redesigned MacBook Pro Considered for 2025

An analyst predicts that Apple may completely change the design of the MacBook Pro in 2025 and introduce an additional offering that will add a more affordable MacBook to Apple’s product line. TF Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo offered warmer reviews of the product family in a number of Mac-related tweets after Apple announced a Mac-focused event in late October.

Ming-Chi Kuo makes claims for MacBook Pro

Kuo commented on the future as part of a tweet seemingly explaining his stance on declining MacBook Pro shipments and Apple’s choice to launch the M3 series MacBook Pro models earlier than expected. If Apple’s M3 plan fails to boost MacBook shipments, Kuo thinks the chances of an all-new design MacBook Pro in 2025 will increase. In his tweet, Kuo did not specify whether the upgrades would only affect high-end models such as the 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro, or products such as the 13-inch MacBook Pro.

Redesigned MacBook Pro Considered for 2025

A higher-spec MacBook Pro redesign isn’t entirely out of the question for 2025. The current 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro case designs arrived in October 2021. At this point, it is over three years old as of the beginning of 2025. Along with the redesign, Kuo suggests that Apple may consider introducing another model to increase shipments. According to Kuo, this is a more affordable MacBook model. Kuo thinks that with a design change and a possible value-focused model, Apple should aim to ship 8 to 10 million units per year.
