The Reddit place movement, started in 2017 by Josh Wordle, who is also the creator of Wordle, is an art event held on April 1 every year.
Reddit place or r/place, the arts event held every year in the first days of April, is back. This year, a huge Turkish flag and the Atatürk icon in the upper right stand out on the canvas, on which the users engrave pixel-by-pixel images with collective participation.

The user who created r/place, one of the sub-headings of Reddit called subreddit, wordleIt is none other than Josh Wardle, who is also the creator of .
Aiming to expand worldwide with this year’s version, the subreddit currently hosts more than 10 thousand communities and more than 50 million daily users. The portrait of Atatürk, which can be seen at the top right of this year’s canvas of r/place, was added with a collective effort in the live broadcast of publisher Elraenn yesterday.
Those who visit the page but are not reddit users cannot add to the canvas. If you have a reddit account, what you need to do is to click on the icon with the “P” sign and open the 1000*1000 canvas to add. Opened on April 1 (yesterday), r/place will remain open for 87 hours and will end on April 4th until next year.
