Caretaker Klara Lundmark says that it started in mid-June when three young people cycled around the cemetery in Bureå, something that Norran be the first to report on.
– They turned on the water taps and the colleague told the young people to turn them off. They did, but then they shouted bitch, or similar swear words, at the colleague. They cycled on and then they came back later in the summer, says Klara Lundmark.
Returned several times
On Monday morning, a pot was broken and when Klara came to work the next day, the water taps had been on during Tuesday evening.
– There was a lot of water, like a large puddle on the gravel path and then they had cycled on the graves themselves, says Klara Lundmark who believes that they are the same young people who continue to sabotage.
– It is clear that it is sad, you get sad that people do not respect that it should be a peaceful place where you should be able to greet relatives who have passed away. It is also sad for the summer workers who fixed things nicely.
The incidents reported to the police
Now the water has been drawn away, the pot has been replaced and the gravel has been raked. The police have been notified of the latest events at Bureås cemetery.
– Hopefully the children will come forward and say sorry. It is also good if the parents can keep track of the children and ask if they are going to the cemetery, that is the hope, says Klara Lundmark.
