Recruiting Day in Rome: Coopservice is looking for 200 armed security guards

(Finance) – TheCoopservice Supervisory Institute (part of the Coopservice Group) organize the September 17th in Rome a recruitment day for the selection of Armed Security Guardsprofessional figures to be included in the private security and surveillance sector in the capital. The Lazio is the second region in Italy by number of workers in this sector. They offer 200 job opportunities for Armed Security Guards to be employed in a major public body with several locations in Rome. The recruitment event will be held on Tuesday, September 17, from 9am to 6pm, at the Coopservice office in via Marghera 32.

The Coopservice Security Institute (IVC) belongs to the Coopservice Group, one of the largest operators in the field of cleaning and sanitation services, private security, logistics and removals, property management and energy efficiency, with a turnover exceeding 1 billion euros and over 20,000 employees. The Institute’s industrial plan foresees significant growth by 2026. To support development, it is planned the hiring of 700 professionals in the private security and surveillance sector (including armed guards, auxiliary security personnel, installers and maintenance technicians) over the next six months, through recruitment days in various Italian cities. These new entries will be added to the approximately 3,700 employees already present in organic.

They work in Italy 1,501 companies in the private security sector, which employ a total of 104,000 people and generate an estimated turnover of approximately 3.6 billion euros. Over 86% of the companies are joint-stock companies, while 7.7% are cooperatives. Small businesses, with 10-49 employees, represent 42.8% of the total surveyed by the Ministry, but the turnover is dominated by medium and large companies, which together produce over 93% of the total turnover.

The private security sector in Central Italy and Lazio. According to Istat data, in 2022, 346 security and investigation companies were active in Lazio, with a total of 21,153 employees. Rome is in first place in the region with 20,457 workers and 287 companies, followed by Frosinone with 333 employees and 15 companies, Viterbo with 225 employees and 10 companies, Latina with 134 employees and 29 companies and finally Rieti with 4 employees and 5 companies. Lazio is the second region in terms of employees in the sector (22% at national level) and the third in terms of number of companies (12.1% of the total), preceded by Puglia (15.2%) and Campania (13.2%).

“The recent renewals of the collective labor agreement, started last year, will lead to a salary increase for the private security sector”, he says Antonio Di Prima, CEO of the Coopservice Supervisory Institute. “Furthermore, it will be fourteenth monthly salary introduced for auxiliary security workers. The Institute intends to grow in the sector while continuing to guarantee the well-being of its employees, as demonstrated by the numerous certifications obtained in the fields of health and safety, gender equality, diversity and inclusion.”
