Lending at Pantbanken Sverige has skyrocketed in the past six months.
During the first half of 2022, lending increased by 25 percent to SEK 526 million. This is more than ever before in the bank’s history. In June alone, lending increased by 37 percent compared to June 2021.
– You want a short loan to be able to pay bills, says the bank’s CEO Peter Sundström, who sees, among other things, an effect of cost inflation.
– We all stand at the till and notice increased electricity prices, petrol prices and food prices, he says.
