The end of October usually means a winter jacket and zero degrees – but not this year.
This year’s autumn weather is significantly warmer than usual and in some places in Sweden it is still meteorological summer, even though we enter November next week.
During Friday, a temperature of 19.5 degrees was measured in Kristianstad, which means the highest observed temperature value this late in the year since measurements began, SMHI states.
– It is remarkably warm, says TV4 Nyhetern’s meteorologist Ulrika Elvgren.
Heat records are also being broken in France, where it has now had its warmest October – ever.
