“This is due, among other things, to a powerful overproduction and a consumption that is very low,” says Johan Sigvardsson, electricity market analyst at the electricity trading company Bixia, to the radio.
He also highlights that it is very windy in the Nordics in general, nowadays especially in the afternoons. Expanded solar power and wind power in Europe is also a contributing factor, according to Johan Sigvardsson.
