Fipronil, a substance not authorized on the European market
This product is subject to recall because it contains fipronil, an active substance not authorized on the European market. Classified as dangerous, it poses a health risk.
Fipronil is classified as “moderately toxic” by the World Health Organization but as a “possible carcinogen” by the American Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) above a certain exposure threshold. According to ANSES, Fipronil had its approval withdrawn under Regulation No. 1107/2009 on 09/30/2017.
