(Finance) – “La energy communityaccording to the indications of the European Union, is formally a legal entity that can put together municipalities, PA, businesses, parishes, third sector entitieswho share the need to produce clean energy together necessary to satisfy one’s own consumption”.
This is what was explained by Giuseppe MilanoGeneral manager Greenaccord Onlusadding that, at the same time, energy communities “they return the excess energy produced to Terna to have an additional economic return to be redistributed to members of the energy community. According to the definition of the European Union, in fact, there is an obligation to simultaneously pursue a social, environmental and economic sustainability which therefore in fact gives energy a dimension of common good“.
“We must not think that the energy community can always be born, everywhere, only through the use of photovoltaic panels, just because it is the cheapest technology. – states Milano – Let us not forget that there are already and there will be experiences of energy communities that enhance for example the biomass, hydroelectric and all other sources of supply”.
“When today the GSE implements a twenty-year incentive rate, where over one fixed quote, which depends on the size of the plant, there is a economic recognition is linked to shared value of energy, this implies that not only the value of trust and cooperation is increasingly important, but also the value of territoriality which can increase economic value”.
“Today Energy communities are a challengea, because with the decree that started at the end of January only a few dozen formally active experiences can be registered, because the process is in progress. There is great excitement. By accepting the simulations produced by the GSE or Enea, it is assumed that in the space of a few years the energy communities from a few dozen could reach several thousand and, therefore, contribute significantly to the famous challenge of decarbonisation that our country has to face today. So it is a path in progress and we hope to be able to evaluate it positively in a few months or at most next year, when we will have a more robust and solid cognitive framework.”
