Jennifer Lawrence stars in X-Men: Future is Past and the film combines two trilogies. There is also another one extended Rogue Cut that changes quite a lot. Last, but not least: You can watch the film on TV today.

That’s what X-Men is all about: future is past

The plot is right there in the title: This X-Men film is all about time travel. In the future they will Mutants are held captive in dark camps and suppressed. This is primarily intended to change Logan aka Wolverine (Hugh Jackman). By traveling through time and averting the beginning of disaster. Which of course becomes even more complicated than it sounds.

The craziest thing about double the load of X-Men get served. Here the heroes and heroines of the old films with Patrick Stewart & Co. meet the new squad around Michael Fassbender, which was introduced in X-Men: First Decision.

20th Century Fox

In X-Men: Days of Future Past, Professor X also appears twice.

The Rogue Cut of X-Men: Future is Past lasts an impressive 17 minutes longer

Actually there would be one Extended cut like this isn’t really necessary been. Both fans and critics didn’t have much to complain about in X-Men: Future is Past, on the contrary. But Marvel later released the so-called Rogue Cut, which added another 17 minutes of running time to the film.

This 17 minutes are definitely worth it and represent a real enrichment. We get a bit more background and character development on several characters. Above all, this longer version revolves around Rogue aka Kitty Pride (Anna Paquin). She only had a brief cameo appearance in the theatrical version, but in this extended cut she even has her own short subplot.
