The action series, which ended in 2017 after four seasons and 38 episodes, tells a gripping story about famous pirate characters. Black Sails takes place in the so-called golden age of pirates at the beginning of the 18th century. The dreaded Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) tries to get himself against the increasingly cold-blooded British Navy while entering into a series of dangerous alliances. He also encounters resistance in his own ranks in the form of the rebellious John Silver (Luke Arnold).
