Action fans who swear by John Wick have a TV date with one today No one. But not just any nobody, but a man played by Bob Odenkirk (Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul) who unexpectedly becomes a real brawler.
The film, which will also have a sequel, can be seen today on German free TV.
Action from the John Wick author on TV: That’s what Nobody with Bob Odenkirk is about
Nobody is about one inconspicuous family man (Odenkirk), who would rather turn the other cheek than fight back. At least until his family is put in danger during a break-in. The incident triggers something in Hutch Mansell and awakens unexpected instincts and abilities. With these he sets out to take on an unscrupulous gangster (Aleksey Serebryakov) and uncover dark secrets. In the most brutal way, of course.
Bob Odenkirk trained for his role in Nobody for two years. However, we didn’t see the magnificent result full of action and speed until much later than expected, as the original release date was 2020 postponed several times due to the corona pandemic. Of course, comparisons to the action series with Keanu Reeves were inevitable.
The Connecting to the John Wick franchise is author Derek Kolstad, who will return with Odenkirk for the sequel Nobody 2, as Deadline reported last year. Timo Tjahjanto will then direct instead of Ilya Naishuller, who was responsible for part 1.
Nobody 2 is scheduled to launch this year
By the way, Part 2 is closer than expected and has even already received a start date from Universal. Accordingly, Nobody 2 is scheduled to hit German cinemas on August 14, 2025. Let’s hope Odenkirk’s health keeps up with the filming.
