Our current streaming tip has no chance against a gigantic sci-fi blockbuster like Dune: Part Two. But if you can make friends with a narrow -minded mind game, you should definitely take a look at the nerve -wracking ISS, which is now streaming at WoW in the subscription.
ISS came to German cinemas last year in summer, but could not attract too much attention there. The sci-fi thriller staged by Blackfish director Gabriela Cowperthwaite, however, comes up with an extremely exciting premise that develops between distrust.
Sci-fi thriller: What happens in the international space station when a war breaks out?
The film begins with the arrival of Dr. Kira Foster (Ariana Debose) and her colleague Christian Campbell (John Gallagher Jr.) on the international space station. The two American astronaut: Inside, their compatriot Gordon Baret (Chris Messina) welcomes, but they are not alone.

There are also three Russian cosmonaut on board the space station: inside: Alexey Pulov (Pilou Asbæk), Weronika Vetrov (Masha Mashkova) and Nicholai Pulov (Costa Ronin). They are very skeptical about the newcomers, especially with regard to their scientific research projects.
The film becomes really exciting when Kira sees bright flashes of light that spread on earth. Apparently a war broke out between the east and the west. However, nobody knows what is going on on board the ISS and this uncertainty eats the heads of the six spacecraft: inside.

From then on we meander with Kira through the narrow corridors of the space station. A nasty surprise could wait behind every corner – not only on the part of the Russian party. The distrust also takes over on the US side and every word is put to the test. Because the next decision could be the last.
The film comes in crisp 96 minutes and does not waste too much time to build up the great unveiling of the war on Earth. Before we stand up, we put in the middle of the dilemma of the figures, which simply cannot avoid. Sooner or later the situation has to escalate.
Even if the further course of the plot is not quite as bold as the premise of the film, Cowperthwaite can keep the tension in the staging. Last but not least, she has a very great ensemble at the start, which is led by West Side Story discovery Ariana Debose. And that always convinces.
