Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Öncü Keçeli Keçeli gave a written response to Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen’s post on the social media platform.
Spokesperson Keçeli emphasized that, as seen in the history of the Israel-Palestine conflict, as Israel continues to oppress Palestinians and destroy their fundamental freedoms, the number of Palestinians defending their collective and individual rights will increase and Israel will face more resistance.
Stating that the basis of the current problem lies in Israel’s occupying attitude, expansionist mentality and oppressive actions that completely disregard the law, human rights and universal principles, Keçeli said, “The brutal attacks of an occupying power against the civilian population can in no way be accepted as self-defense.” he said.
