In the Razer Kraken V3 Pro review, the senior member of the Kraken V3 family, we take a closer look at the Hypersense feature and other aspects of the wireless headset.
Razer continues to release products focusing on different segments with different features in terms of gaming accessories. The company, which is already quite ambitious on the headphone side, appeared with the last members of the Razer Kraken family, which it renewed. In the past months, we have reviewed the Razer Kraken V3 and Kraken V3 Hypersense models and talked about the Hypersense feature, which is the biggest difference between them. Here’s what we’ve been testing for a while Razer Kraken V3 Pro We can say that the model is the new and top-end product of this headphone family.
Razer Kraken V3 Pro review
Design
When we take the headset out of the box, we can say that the company has the feeling of a quality product. In terms of design, it is very similar to other products of the Kraken family. The biggest difference is that this headset can of course be used wirelessly. Apart from the charging cable, of course, there is also a receiver that you can connect to your computer or console.
When we look at the buttons and input units on the 372 gram headset, a crowded list awaits us. Fortunately, you get used to this lineup in a short time as the layout is done properly. On the left are the microphone input, Type-C socket for charging, 3.5mm jack input, on/off switch, volume wheel and microphone on/off button. The button that you set the Hypersense level of the headset, which I will talk about shortly, is placed on the right earphone.
It uses a nine-stage slide structure on the right and left sides. Razer Kraken V3 ProIn this way, it has a structure that will fit your head perfectly. The sponges on the headband part are very comfortable and ergonomic. The use of this structure in the interior also allows your head to be more comfortable. It is necessary to test whether there is a risk of peeling in the long term, but I have not encountered such problems with different model earphones that I have used for more than a year before, except for the wristband part on the keyboards.
When we go down to the sled part, we encounter a thick strip and a solid plastic accent. On these, it seems that the Hypersense logo is used. I must say that Razer Kraken V3 Pro, which provides an ergonomic use with ear sponges, provides a comfortable use in this regard. I normally can’t use such over-the-head headphones for long periods of time. They can cause pain in both my ear and my head. But as with other products of Kraken models, I did not encounter any discomfort when I played it for a long time. The space left in the interior design of the headphone part greatly reduces that pressure. On the design side, RGB lighting is included on both sides of the headset. Thanks to the software, you can customize the way you want here and provide the same lighting with your other products.
As I said, the most important feature that distinguishes this headset from other Kraken V3 models is that it is wireless. I tested it for a long time on both PC and Playstation 5. It made me very happy about the distance as it connected to both of them quickly. Even though the console is in the room, I witnessed that the sound quality did not decrease even when I went to the kitchen in the opposite corner of the house. This provides a comfortable use with this kind of mobility even if you are at a conference in emergency situations. By the way, besides PC and PS5 wirelessly, you can also use the Switch console in Dock mode. Of course, it is possible to use wired on Xbox and smartphones as well as these platforms. You cannot use it wirelessly on Xbox.
Technical details
When we look at the technical side, we see that it has a similar structure with other models. There are only minor differences between them. The Kraken V3 Pro model, which has a 50 mm driver, uses the frequency range of 20 Hz and 20 kHz. The sound quality of this model, which uses Razer TriForce Titanium drivers, offers a very good performance, especially in games. In addition to the powerful bass, you can hear even the smallest detail in the ambient sounds. This is a very useful use for players who want to make sound especially in competitive games.
The Hypersense feature of the headset, which offers a quality that will surprise me on the microphone side, offers a use that we are not used to before. This feature, which we mentioned in the Kraken v3 Hypersense model, can be adjusted in four different levels thanks to the button on the right earcup, as I mentioned at the beginning. You can use this feature in off, low, medium and high settings. We can actually compare the haptic feature to the vibration feature in the DualSense controller. In other words, you see that the headset offers a different experience with vibration, depending on the sound status of a movie, video, music or game you are watching.
Here, when you shoot or enter a boss fight, high vibrations are offered to you in those bass periods along with the music. I can say that this is a situation that is difficult to explain, as in the DualSense controller, but creates a very different feeling when experienced. However, when you use the Hypersense feature for a long time, you realize that the thing that I said does not hurt on the ergonomics side, slowly hits you. Fortunately, it offers an easy solution to adjust its level with a single button, or turn it off completely. On the other hand, you wish we could make more use of the blessings of this headset with a special design for games. Because in this state, it is possible to say that the system inside the earphone creates an automatic vibration according to the sound you listen to, but it does this adjustment well. It should also be underlined that if it were a game-specific design, it probably has features that could offer much more.
When you first start using the headset, you can notice that the sounds are a little high-pitched. This is actually something that varies from person to person. Fortunately, it is possible to make all the adjustments, especially the lighting features that I mentioned earlier, through the Razer Synapse 3 application. It is possible to make all adjustments from sound settings to equalizer settings.
Conclusion
As a result, as I said at the beginning, the Razer Kraken V3 pro model is the most senior member of this family. If you are curious about Hypersense technology, if there is a store where you can experience it, you should test it. Because even if you don’t want to use this feature all the time, it offers a very nice experience when appropriate. This is one of the features that distinguishes the headset from other members. Of course, the advantage of being wireless is also quite big. In short, it provides a high-level different experience. a wireless headset If you are looking for it, I can recommend the Razer Kraken V3 Pro model. But if you want more convenient, wired, you can look at other members of this family.
