Detroit Swede Lucas Raymond continues his goalscoring streak in the NHL. Last night he scored two goals against Columbus and thus passes a new personal record.

Lucas Raymond equalized with 13 seconds left in the third period and took the game to overtime. There, teammate Patrick Kane decided, giving Detroit the 4–3 victory.

Raymond has thus scored seven goals in the last five games. In total, there have been 24 goals for the season so far. It’s a new career best for the 21-year-old, who is in his third season with Detroit.

Another Swede who during the night achieved a new milestone in his NHL career was the New York Rangers Alexander Wennberg who played his 700th game. In the meeting against Winnipeg, he equalized 1–1 in the second period, his first goal for the Rangers after the move from Seattle.

Winnipeg won the game, however, after a hat trick by Mark Scheifele and 40 saves by goaltender Connor Hellebuyck.

Toronto’s William Nylander also increased his goal statistics by shooting 3–1 in the third period against Philadelphia. Philadelphia won, 4–3, with 27 saves by Swedish Samuel Ersson in the cage.

New Jersey’s Alexander Holz scored and Jesper Bratt had two assists as Pittsburgh was defeated 5–2. Marcus Pettersson scored for Pittsburgh with an assist from Rickard Rakell.
