The fact that IJsselmeervogels was relegated and missed out on promotion last season means that the former captain of the club sets out with a very simple goal. “Promotion, nothing more, nothing less. IJsselmeervogels belongs at the highest level.” That objective is part of the club and is also realistic, Bronkhorst thinks. “There is a good selection. I have not put it together, but if you don’t like it, you should not join. I will never hide behind the fact that it is not ‘my selection’.”
