Rayan Rupert was born on May 31, 2004 in Strasbourg into a family of athletes. His father was a former basketball player, who passed away in 2013. His mother’s name is Elham. Rayan has an older sister who also plays orange ball professionally. She represented the club of Virtus Bologna and counts with the Blue 48 selections. Rayan obtained his first license in 2008 at Elan Chalon. After his first steps on the court, he wore the colors of JS Coulaines and SCM Le Mans before joining the federal center in 2018. Finally in 2022, the back decided to join New Zealand at New Zealand Breakers with whom he became vice-champion of Australia. In this Championship, he was able to flourish and apply for the 2023 draft.
Thierry Rupert was a strong winger and played almost 20 years in the French Championships: Poissy-Chatou, Antibes, Limoges, Paris, Strasbourg, Pau-Orthez, Chalon-sur-Saône, Le Mans, Rouen and Dijon.
