STRIKE APRIL 13. RER, metro, bus, tram… First forecasts concerning the expected disruptions for the 12th day of strike against the pension reform Thursday, April 13, 2023 were announced on Tuesday.
[Mis à jour le 11 avril 2023 à 21h31] And 12! A little less than three months after the first big day of mobilization against the pension reform, on January 19, the inter-union called for a new day of strike Thursday April 13, 2023. Objective? Putting pressure once more as the Constitutional Council must deliver its verdict on Friday April 14 on the constitutionality of the much-maligned bill. For Ile-de-France residents, does this mean that Thursday will be complicated in public transport?
According to the first forecasts announced Tuesday, at 48 hours of D-Day, by the management, the RATP strike will not be particularly followed. In its short press release, the RATP indicated that it “expects almost normal traffic on the RER network. The metro network provides almost normal traffic with the exception of a few lines”. Finally, “traffic will be normal on the Bus and Tram networks”. On the SNCF side, note however that if normal traffic is expected on the RER, 3 RER A out of 4 will circulate on average, 2 RER C and RER E out of 3 are planned and 3 RER D out of 5 announced, with an interconnection maintained between Châtelet and the train station in Lyon. As a reminder, with the pension reform, the special regime of some 40,000 RATP employees is threatened, which represents 93% of the workforce.
