This Tuesday, February 7, the lines of the Paris metro are severely disrupted due to a day of strike against the pension reform. Some lines are seeing their schedules shortened tonight. Which are they?

[Mis à jour le 7 février 2023 à 16h55] Due to a new day of action in Paris against the pension reform this Tuesday, February 7, 2023, the lines of the Paris metro are seeing their traffic severely disrupted. As a result, many lines only run at peak times where others are seeing their continuous service shortened tonight.

Lines 1, 4 and 14, automatic or semi-automatic, are the only lines to finish their service at the latest, just like lines 2, 7 and 7 bis. In addition, many metro stations are closing their doors earlier or have been completely closed since the beginning of the day (see our paper on closed metro stations). Here is the inventory of line closures this Tuesday evening in the Paris metro:

  • Line 1 : runs until 1:15 a.m.. Please note that the Champs Elysées-Clémenceau and Reuilly-Diderot stations are only open until 7:30 p.m. George V, Argentina and Pont de Neuilly are only open until 9 p.m. Hôtel de Ville and Bastille stations are closed.
  • Line 2 : runs until 10 p.m.. Please note that Villiers station is only open until 7:30 p.m., Jaurès and Stalingrad stations until 8 p.m., Pigalle until 9 p.m.
  • Line 3 : runs until 7:30 p.m.. Please note that the following stations are closed all day: République, Opéra.
  • Line 3bis: runs until 1:15 a.m..
  • Line 4 : runs until 1:15 a.m.. Please note that the Marcadet, Barbès and Gare de L’Est stations close at 10 p.m. The Simplon, Strasbourg-Saint Denis and Cité stations are closed.
  • Line 5 : runs until 8 p.m.. Please note that Bastille, Hoche, Laumière, République, Richard-Lenoir and Campo-Formio stations are closed.
  • Line 6 : runs until 8 p.m..
  • Line 7: runs until 10 p.m.. Please note that Jussieu station closes at 7:30 p.m., Stalingrad station at 8:30 p.m. Cadet, Opéra, Tolbiac are closed.
  • Line 7bis: runs until 10 p.m.. Please note that the Jaurès and Place des Fêtes stations close at 8 p.m.
  • Line 8 : runs only between Concorde and Balard then between Reuilly-Diderot and Créteil Pointe du Lac until 8 p.m.. Please note that the stations on the line between Faidherbe-Chaligny and Balard are closed all day.
  • Line 9: runs until 8:30 p.m.. Please note that the Michel-Ange-Auteuil and Michel-Ange-Molitor stations only open until 7:30 p.m. The following stations are closed all day: Richelieu-Drouot, Grands Boulevards, Strasbourg-Saint-Denis, République.
  • Line 10: runs until 8:30 p.m..
  • Line 11: runs until 8 p.m.. Please note that Arts et Métiers closes at 7:30 p.m. and the Hôtel de Ville, Jourdain and République stations are closed.
  • Line 12: runs until 9 p.m.. Please note, Sèvres-Babylone closes at 7:30 p.m., Pasteur and Montparnasse close at 8 p.m.
  • Line 13: runs until 7:30 p.m. only between Saint Denis – University / Asnières Gennevilliers – Les Courtilles and Montparnasse – Bienvenüe.
  • Line 14 : runs until 10 p.m. due to work related to the extension of the line.
