STRIKE RATP. Three new black days are announced for users of Parisian buses and trams. The RATP unions have called for a massive strike action on Monday May 23, Tuesday May 24 and Wednesday May 25, 2022. Here are the traffic forecasts.
[Mis à jour le 10 mai 2022 à 19h22] The unions of the RDS (Surface Network) division of the RATP, which concerns buses and trams, are calling for three consecutive days of strikes on May 23, 24 and 25, preceding the Ascension weekend, to oppose the new working conditions generated by the opening up to competition of the Parisian bus network by 2025.
After the previous black days of March 25 and February 18, the UNSA, FO, CGT, Solidaires, CFDT and SAT unions continue to denounce, in a joint press release, these company agreements which they consider to be a “break in working conditions machinists-receivers”. Negotiations between unions and management on an agreement on the working hours of Parisian bus and tram drivers did not succeed.
The proposal of the management of the RATP of April 4 having been rejected by the unions (“increase in working time of 120 hours per year including the elimination of 6 days of RTT in exchange for an increase in the application, from the 1st July, unilateral measures: “20 overtime hours per year against a gross increase of 420 euros”, details Le Parisien.
In order to “preserve” their “working conditions”, the RATP unions call on bus and tram agents to leave their vehicles stationary during the three days of the strike: “no RATP bus or tram will run on the network”, indicate the unions in a joint press release posted on the Facebook page of FO-RATP RDS. During the previous strike, a third of the buses were at a standstill all day and one in two or three trams only ran during rush hour…
Monday 23, Tuesday 14 and Wednesday 25 May 2022, the situation will be particularly difficult on the bus and tram network, much less in the metros and RER, according to the first information issued by the unions. Here is what we know for the moment of the disruptions of the RATP strike of May 23, 24 and 25 in detail:
- Metro disruptions : metro traffic should not be impacted on 23, 24 and 25 May.
- RER disruptions : RER traffic should not be impacted on 23, 24 and 25 May.
- Bus disruptions : “no bus” should run on the RATP network on May 23, 24 and 25.
- Tram disruptions : “no tram” should run on the RATP network on May 23, 24 and 25.
