RATP strike: towards a renewal this month of February 2023?

RATP strike towards a renewal this month of February 2023

STRIKE RATP. Tuesday, January 31, 2023, metros and RER suffered major disruptions following the second strike against the pension reform at RATP. Will the unions decide to renew the strike this month of February?

[Mis à jour le 31 janvier 2023 à 18h53] The RATP unions (CGT, FO, CFE-CGC and Unsa) called to join again in the second act of strike against the pension reform of Tuesday January 31, 2023. Indeed, the special pension scheme of some 40 000 RATP employees are heavily threatened, which represents 93% of the workforce. As a result, this Tuesday was again a dark day on the Ile-de-France network, with very disrupted metros, including a dozen lines partially open and circulating only at rush hour and a line completely at a standstill (3b).

The RATP unions have promised to meet after this second strike to follow up or not on the mobilization, while the CGT-Cheminots and SUD-Rail unions of the SNCF are already announcing two consecutive strike days in February and for its part, FO transport and logistics wishes to “disorganize the functioning of companies” by calling for a strike for one hour a day at the start of service from this Tuesday, January 31, by evoking the prospect of an “unlimited strike” on all the sectors that covers the union (bus or truck drivers, paramedics).
