RATP strike: RER B traffic forecasts this Friday, June 3

RATP strike RER B traffic forecasts this Friday June 3

STRIKE RATP. This Friday, June 3, the planned mobilization on the RER B will not have a major impact on traffic. The management of the RATP announces low disturbances and an interconnection maintained at Gare du Nord. The forecasts.

[Mis à jour le 2 juin 2022 à 18h44] This Friday, June 3 will ultimately not be a dark day for RER B users. While the CGT Métro-RER, Unsa and La Base unions launched a new strike call this Friday, the day of the France-Denmark match at the Stade de France, RER B traffic will be “almost normal”, announces the management of the RATP. No change of train will be necessary at the Gare du Nord, as the interconnection will be maintained.

The management of the RATP reminds users who go to the match this Friday to go to the stop Stade-de-France / Saint-Denis by borrowing line 12 (Front Populaire station), line 13 (Saint-Denis – Porte de Paris station) or RER D (Stade de France – Saint-Denis station) which also serve the Stade de France.

Friday, June 3, 2022, the social movement will ultimately have very little impact on the RERs. In addition, no disturbance is to be expected in the metros, buses and trams. Here are the disruptions of the RATP strike of June 3 in detail:

  • RER disruptions : this Friday, June 3, almost normal traffic on the entire RER B line with interconnection maintained at Gare du Nord. The other lines, A, C, D and E are running quite normally.
  • Metro disruptions : normal traffic Friday 3 June.
  • Bus disruptions : normal traffic Friday 3 June.

The CGT, FO, Unsa and La Base de la RATP unions denounce “the lack of staff maintained for several years by the management of the RER” at the RATP. They judged the management’s proposal to organize two additional training sessions on RER driving in the second half of 2022 insufficient, pointing out that 34 retirements were planned for 2022 on RER A and 22 on RER B. As a result, the unions first went on strike on Saturday 28 May during the Champions League final between Real Madrid and Liverpool at the Stade de France. They are launching a new strike call this Friday, June 3, when the Blues will face Denmark at the Stade de France: “The malfunctions (…) will continue as long as the proposal [de la direction] is weak”, they announced last Saturday.
