Rappers from Lahti stole a slogan from Detroit that attracted attention at the Pelicans’ office – Brädi recalls the league club’s contact

Rappers from Lahti stole a slogan from Detroit that attracted

The second final match of the ice hockey championship league live on Friday from Puhe.

Pelicans have become known in the SM league for their slogan Lahti vs. Everybody. This text has appeared on fan products, for example, but it has also been used on jerseys.

When Pelicans bluntly crushed HIFK 6-0 in the opening match of the quarterfinals four years ago, the text was beautiful in place of the Pelicans logo in the middle of the shirt.

In this year’s finals against Tappara, however, not everyone is against the Pelicans. Now many are on the side of the underdog, the people of Lahti.

– That slogan has a lot of underdog and pack dog vibes. But it’s great that now it’s a bit over my head, says the rap artist from Lahti Bradyreal name Kari Olavi Härkönen.

– At least in my own social media bubble, many latäk supporters who have lost their own gang now support the Pelicans. Yes, we can fit in our bandwagon, even if it’s not from Lahi, Brädi continues in an interview with Urheilu.

The slogan was stolen from Detroit

Brädi played a significant role in establishing the Lahti vs. Everybody term for use by the Lahti club. Brädi is part of Lahti United, made up of rappers from Lahti, who once stole the slogan for their use from Detroit.

Lahti United includes, among others Degree, Nike Ankara, Ideal, Jay Who and As a scratcher.

– It was a battle of a Detroit rap group. They had a song called Detroit versus Everybody. We stated then that this is exactly what we do.

– We used that slogan to some extent.

Currently working in Tappara Jesse Pykkö was once in Pelicans marketing. He contacted Lahti United and asked if the group has a trademark for the slogan and how the Pelicans would get the right to use it in their marketing.

– We said that we don’t have the rights to this either and it’s unlikely that the boys from D-town had registered it in any way. This has been such borrowing.

– It was great when there was a special jersey. It was really great and I still have it in my closet.

What is baying anyway? Brädi at least accepts the journalist’s characterization of jaggedness and gnarledness.

– That was really good, you ate it well. I stamp my passport. You can go there when you talk about Lahe, Brädi says and continues:

– Yes, people from Lahti are nice people. When you get to know us and spend some time here, you will notice that we are a good gang. The very strong reputation of Finland’s Chicago certainly serves well. You have to throw a little wink at that. Yes, it is safe to be here.

Pelicans messed up Tampere’s patterns

According to Bräd, the Duna aesthetic and the tenacious underdog attitude, especially in sports and music, belong to the Lahti culture. According to him, the people of Lahti also have a really good team spirit.

He believes that rappers have also infected him, among other things, in Lahti’s business life.

– We cheer and support here. If someone is from Lahi, we try to be behind.

Brädi describes that Lahti, located on the side of Helsinki, is in a challenging position in a good way. Just like the Pelicans this season.

– There has been a lot of talk that the little one came to mess up the patterns of the people of Tampere. It just suits us.

In the semi-final series of the SM league, Pelicans knocked out the pre-favorite Ilves in the bronze match. The final series did not turn out to be a local struggle in Tampere, as many had predicted.

– It suits the bay area well. I remember the classic poster from the stands that Lahti spoils the atmosphere. It is sometimes a source of pride.

Will the Pelicans find the right gear?

In the first final, Pelicans lost to Tappara with as many as 1–5 goals. However, Bräd, who is known as a basketball man, has a theory about the Pelicans’ first match, although he reminds that the game was not one goal.

– I have compared that with legendary With LeBron James has often had a feel out game in the playoffs, i.e. he has watched the game and absorbed the opponent, and then put the right gear in his eye.

– If only that was Pelicans’ feel out game, Brädi tastes.

Brädi also reminds that the Pelicans must stay away from the ice fences, because Tappara’s superiority has been “poisonously accurate”.

– Played excellently in the Ilves series and was beaten a lot Ben Blood in the 1st final took a couple of more annoying Ben Blood side ices. Brädi believes that the meritorious Tappara people will eat the same bread if they don’t freeze and play with the same self-confidence.

In addition to Puhe, the second SM league final will be watched on ‘s sports day.
