It was in April last year that a police officer investigated the rapper’s residence after a woman raised the alarm that she was being held there against her will, the newspaper reports Houston Chronicle.
The woman was discovered in a garage next to the house and she then stated that she had been kidnapped by Lee Carter, as his real name is, “four to five years ago”. This allegedly happened when she was begging for money by a highway and was picked up by Carter.
Lived in complete misery
The woman states that she lived in complete misery in the garage and that Carter subjected her to systematic sexual abuse and forced her to take drugs. It was when, on a rare occasion, he let her use a laptop that she allegedly managed to raise the alarm. On an earlier occasion, she claims to have managed to escape from captivity, only to be returned to Carter by the police.
Lee “Viper” Carter has been active as since the 1990s. With his wayward music and outsider personality, he has over the years found an audience via the internet – including through the cult album “You’ll cowards don’t even smoke crack” – and he is usually mentioned as a forerunner of the cloud rap genre.
He denies all the charges.
