It was this weekend that the SD leader from Blekinge was arrested, suspected of having committed a rape in a hotel room in Stockholm.
The preliminary investigation has now been closed.
– There are no conditions to pursue this investigation due to difficulties with evidence. My assessment is that it is not possible to prove that the suspect has committed a crime, says Marie Bastin, prosecutor.
The SD leader was immediately expelled from the party after the suspicions became known, and has also resigned from all assignments in the region and the municipality in which he was active.
– I have to contact the national organization and need information on how we should proceed now, this is completely new information for me. Regardless, all this is a tragic situation that many people feel bad about, says Fredrik Thomasson (SD), district chairman in Blekinge.
