“Maria” was a relatively new employee when she was drunk and – according to herself without the opportunity to defend herself – was raped by her two bosses, a woman and a man, at the scandal-ridden law firm Rive. The rape took place during a conference in a castle.
During the investigation, three more women came forward and told about how the male boss became close in connection with training. The district court convicted him of three counts of sexual harassment and one count of negligent rape, the same crime for which the female boss was also convicted. Now prosecutors and plaintiffs have appealed the verdict – because they want to see the man and woman convicted of aggravated rape.
– In part, it is the intoxication that she has been in this state that she has not even been able to give consent. In addition, it is the case that the defendants have been her bosses and it is a position of dependence they have seriously abused, says prosecutor Jenny Granqvist.
TV4 Nyheterna has previously told how the three law firms Rive, Arbetsrättsgruppen, Arbetsrättsexperten, with the same owner – are accused of having cheated hundreds of clients of large sums without the judiciary being able to stop them. But after a young woman reported two of the heads of rape during a conference at a castle, the million-dollar roll seems to have finally come to an end.
