The abuse was discovered when the girl told her guardians when they picked her up at the preschool in the municipality of Flen.
The designated young man was employed there and was at the scene when the girl began to talk about what she had been subjected to. The police were then called in and the man was later arrested.
He initially denied the crime, but later made a U-turn in police questioning and admitted to the crime that took place on October 1. The man has stated that he “got an impulse” and that “there was like a voice in his head” that urged him to commit the crime.
Now he has been convicted of aggravated rape of a child. The sentence was five years in prison.
The prosecutor has called the man’s actions “particularly reckless” where he “exploited his position as preschool staff”.
– The crime also took place in a place where the child was left in his care and had the right to feel safe, said senior prosecutor Fredrik Beijar in connection with the prosecution.
The convicted man must pay SEK 315,000 in damages to the girl.
