Rap artist and pop singer known as a former child star Aaron Carter has died at the age of 34.
American entertainment news website TMZ says (you’re moving to another service)that Carter was found dead in a bathtub at his home in Lancaster, California on Saturday.
According to the Reuters news agency, no foul play is suspected in Carter’s death.
Carter came to the public in the late 90’s at the age of just nine, when he toured with the popular band Backstreet Boys. Big brother of Aaron Carter Nick Carter was one of the singers of the Backstreet Boys.
Aaron Carter’s four albums have sold a total of millions of copies. His most popular album was Aaron’s Party (Come Get It), released in 2000, which sold more than three million copies.
Later, Carter moved on to make rap music and appeared in musicals and on the TV show Dancing with the Stars.
Aaron Carter had problems with alcohol and drugs. He had sought rehab several times and had to deal with the authorities due to drug possession and traffic violations.
Over the years, he dated several female celebrities. Carter had a son in 2021.
